For NBA All-Star Weekend, MOS was tapped to creative direct, design, animate, and program the entire Pro Shot Challenge for Google Pixel — a 6,000 sq ft impossible shot course built for speed, precision, and pure bragging rights. Working with our longtime friends at VT Pro Design, we crafted an experience where fans got drafted to Team Pixel, hit the player tunnel under roaring lights, then raced against the clock in a series of shooting challenges — all leading up to a live robotic hoop finale on a futuristic court. Every moment was captured along the way and turned into a custom All-Star card that attendees got to take home.
Overall, it was a serious technical challenge — managing a network of 25 Pixel devices, building a custom NFC wristband system for seamless tracking, programming real-time gameplay and scorekeeping, syncing AI-generated voice moments, driving responsive lighting across the course, choreographing a robotic hoop with reactive content, and automatically generating custom printed All-Star cards for every player. It was a complex build — but was stoked to finally bring it to life.
